Adoption Methodology

  • Migration Approach: To mitigate the challenges associated with migrating SAP and other dependent workloads, Scaleios performed a comprehensive assessment of the client’s already existing IT infrastructure environment (whether it is on-premises or other hosting or cloud platforms), including their SAP Landscape, other associated applications and external integrations if any. A detailed analysis including the aspects like availability, integrity and security were considered. Migration approach to Public Cloud shall depend on the data points identified during the assessment.

  • Availability, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Solution Architecture is vetted for service availability as agreed with the customer along with backup strategy for various components and services. SAP being the most critical application in most organizations, BCP/DR strategy is also discussed with customers and included in the solution. This ensures all round availability of SAP & associated services and Business Continuity of the environment with minimal retrieval turnaround.  This approach ensures that the client’s environment remains robust and resilient against potential disruptions and best practices are validated along with process improvements.

  • Sizing Considerations: Based on the data points about the existing infrastructure sizing and the effective utilization in recent past and considering the growth projection in immediate future, first cut sizing of the servers and other services arrived.  The first cut sizing is further scrutinized against the baselines on the proposed cloud platform based on previous deployment experience and fine-tuned to make sure resources are not over provisioned, but the performance shall not be impacted during the optimization.

  • Post-migration Fine-tuning: Once all the workloads in scope is migrated successfully to the proposed Cloud platform, Scaleios integrates the solution to 24/7 Monitoring service and all key performance parameters are tracked closely. Periodic user feedback is also collected to understand how the workloads are performing in the new cloud environment. Any observations in the monitoring activity or user feedback are analysed and changes or tweaking of architecture or sizing is rolled out after customer approvals. Also, all the redundancies for failover, recovery of services from backup and invocation of DR are also performed before signing off the project completion.  These measures collectively provided a highly efficient, reliable, and cost-effective IT environment, tailored to the client’s unique needs and designed to support their business operations seamlessly.
